Participating and supporting the Sleepout raises funds for the Julian Trust and awareness of the need for our services
Thanks for showing an interest in our Sleepout.
The Sleepout is now an annual event run in conjunction with the Bristol Homeless Forum to allow organisations working with homeless people in Bristol to come together for a joint fundraising and awareness event. This will be our 11th year of being part of the annual sleepout.
To take part you have to register with one of the participating organisations. You can register with the Julian Trust using our online form or you can download a pdf form here and send it in completed. Both methods give a lot of information about how the event is run and what you need to do as a participant.
By completing the registration form you are agreeing to comply with the conditions the Julian Trust is obliged to make you aware of. They are summarised on the registration form and you can see more detail in the document on this link.
One of the main aims for the Sleepout is to raise funds by getting sponsorship.
Once we have confirmed your registration you can start raising sponsorship but please wait for that confirmation before getting started as there are limited spaces and clear conditions.
The easiest & most effective way to raise sponsorship is to register yourself with Virgin Money Giving as a Julian Trust fundraiser and set up a page for the event which you can publish and promote to your friends, family and colleagues.
Go to the Julian Trust virgin money giving page
select the ‘Start Fundraising’ button and then Organised Event & search for ‘Julian Trust Annual Sleepout 2019’ in October 2019 and the Julian Trust event will appear for you to select. Be careful not to register for anyone else !!
Just follow the instructions & if you get stuck email me with your phone number so I can call you back (Sleepout.JT@gmail.com )
If you want to do it the old fashioned way with sponsor forms and cash collection, that’s ok, just let me know & I’ll send you the sponsor forms to use.
& finally, if you’re not fussed about being personally credited with funds raised, you can ask everyone you know to sponsor you online using the group page, but again – leave a message.
