Supporting homeless individuals whilst the Nightshelter remains closed
The Julian Trust has agreed to provide £30,000 to pay for accommodation for nine homeless people with No Recourse To Public Funds (NRPF). This will enable them to continue to stay in Covid-safe Bristol City Council accommodation. The current funding for the accommodation was due to end in mid May, after which the individuals would have faced an uncertain future. Our contribution will provide a safe place to stay for a further four months.
Whilst Public Health England continue to view dormitory-style accommodation as too high risk under the current circumstances, we will continue to work with Bristol City Council and other agencies to find ways to support homeless individuals in our community.
